DJ RUSH

Major Rush, Russian Roulette, Drum Major or simply DJ Rush – Isaiah Mahor guarantees pure energy in music. In his early life and career Rush finished his degree in Computer Operations, Anger Management and won several first place awards in Art competitions. Leaving all that behind Rush made his way in the Dj business and not limited himself he found his way to Berlin Germany and his career kicked off in high gear. Not only his Dj skills and music selection moved and impressed fans all over the globe, his songs have made such a big impact on the dance scene with songs like “Freaks on Hubbard”, “Strassse E”,  “Mutha Fucking Bass”, “Get On Up”, “I Believe” and the list goes on and on. Conquering so many clubs and events across Europe and gaining so much respect, Rush had a chance to host his own tents at Tomorrowland (Belgium), Dance Valley (Netherlands), Summer Spirit (Germany), also presenting his own Electronic Festivals with Manager and Friends at Mystery Wonderland (Germany & Austria). Being such a killing machine, speaker beater, bass cranker, Rush likes to leave his fans and supporters mind and body tingling after each set, wanting more, more, more and more, but keep in mind you don’t always get the typical Hard side of Rush; Rush combines all styles of music he love, from Jazz, Disco, Funk and Soul to make the events more interesting and keeping the people on their toes. Sometimes dressing up frightening to show his alias Russian Roulette; this what make the big man a strong entertainer and not just a Dj. Believing in expression is the key to entertaining and success that’s why Rush’s baby Kne’Deep rec / Kne’Deep Agency (management: Tina) has produce some of the best talent in the electronic scene. Although the scene may be going through a crises, Rush continues to do what he do best and THAT’S ENTERTAIN YOU.

1) Isaiah, LOUD returns after 11 years. You´ve always been an essential artist for the Show, what are your most remarkable memories regarding your gigs between 2002 and 2005 in Bremen?

(First off thanks for having me back for 11 years. It’s been awhile since I’ve played in Bremen. I can remember how much energy and excitement it was to come to and play. The people was so full of energy and ready to let lose and have fun, some times you can barely hear the music because of the people going crazy and screaming to the music. I am so happy I had the chance to witness the Bremen party people back in the day.

2) Obviously the music developed since those days. How did DJ Rushs style in DJing change in all those years?

I have changed so much, but keeping the energy and the fun in my music. My BPM has changed I no longer play extremely fast as most people would call it. There comes a time when you just need to move on. It never been about BPM for me, it always been about the energy and playing good music, and I continue to play good music, music that makes the body feel good, that builds up as the set go. If you’re a believer in good music and having fun, then you will see and feel what I am all about.

3) Talking about transition, will there be new releases coming in the next months? As i remember the last one was a 12″ on Neuhain Records? What can your Supporters expect in the next months?

I am working on an album now, and hopefully it will be out in January, but latest February. It’s time for me come back strong with a release, I’ve been so busy doing other things and working more on my private life, that I had to put releases on hold. Now I am ready to strike back with a long play of tunes that will make you feel good and excited to dance to.

4) The birds are tweeting that you moved to Portugal, have you been tired of Berlin or what was the reason for that relocation?

I have been living in several different places, but I can not answer the birds where I am living at the moment, to many people in your business and personal life is never a good thing. I can say it was time for a change, I had to make a move because of several reasons but to speak about it will only cause a debate and this I don’t want, so let’s just say I did what was right for me and where I will spend golden years ha ha ha ha

5) This is your Chance for a message to your Supporters at LOUD

Things has changed since the early 2000’s, many of my supporters are older now just like me, no one stay young. Many of my supporters are mothers and fathers, career people or moved away and do not party any more, but there are a whole new generation of Party people in Bremen that hasn’t had a chance to witness my energy, and see how much I love what I do. It’s not about me, it’s about all of us, the party people, promoters and I. we come together to make memories and have a good time. Fan are good, but fans will build you up and destroy you if you’re not giving them what they want, but supporters will be there til the end no matter the change, because they know you’re into the music for the love of it and you appreciate everyone who comes out and support. So I am looking forward to win over some new supporters and hopefully to see some of my old supporters. My supporters have giving me some good years and continue to show love and support and I love them all for this, and with that said let’s come together and GET LOUD.
